Maintaining solid wood furniture requires attention to controlling environmental temperature and humidity, avoiding direct sunlight and heat sources, proper cleaning, regular maintenance, and preventing physical damage. Scientific maintenance can significantly extend the life of the furniture and maintain its natural beauty.

1. Strictly control environmental temperature and humidity. The ideal temperature is 18-24℃, and the humidity should be maintained between 40%-60% to prevent the wood from cracking or expanding due to drastic changes in moisture.

In northern winters, use a humidifier to prevent dryness; in southern rainy seasons, use air conditioning to dehumidify and prevent the furniture from warping due to moisture.

2. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause the wood to fade, the paint to age, and crack. Avoid placing furniture in direct sunlight from windows; use curtains to block the light if necessary.

Maintain a distance of at least 30 cm from radiators and air conditioner vents to prevent localized overheating that can cause dehydration and warping.

3. Proper Cleaning, Avoid Wet Cloths and Chemicals: For daily dusting, use a soft, dry cotton cloth to wipe along the wood grain. Do not use wet cloths, towels, or steel wool to prevent moisture from seeping in or scratching the carved areas.

Oil stains can be gently wiped with alcohol or high-proof liquor. Never use acidic or alkaline cleaners or alcohol-based disinfectants, as these may corrode the lacquer finish.

4. Regular Maintenance, Use Wood Wax Oil Properly: Apply natural wood wax oil every 6-12 months. For high-frequency use areas (such as desktops), it is recommended to apply every 6 months; for low-frequency use areas, this can be extended to 1-2 years.

Before maintenance, thoroughly clean the surface. After light sanding, apply the oil evenly along the wood grain. Let it dry completely for 72 hours before polishing to enhance shine and protection.

5. Prevent Physical Damage, Use Properly: Use coasters and placemats to protect against hot drinks and high-temperature equipment (such as laptops and printers) to avoid burns or dents.

Install anti-slip mats when moving chairs to prevent chair legs from scratching the edges of the table; do not overload drawers to avoid deformation of the drawer slides.
